According to the evidence that the authorities found, MP Germenis was acting as ‘Major’ in the operations against immigrants. MP Boukouras appears to be involved in racketeering.
Golden Dawn MPs Giorgos Germenis, Panagiotis Iliopoulos, and Stathis Boukouras have been asked see the investigtive judges after the end of the extension they were granted. They are charged with the felonies of being leading members of a criminal organisation. The Parliament recently voted the removal of their immunity.
From what has become known, the evidence the authorities have collected about Mr Germenis also include the statement of a protected witness, in which the MP is characterised as ‘Major’ with a central role in the selection and training of recruits, as well as in the operations against immigrants.
Another protected witness has said that Mr Boukouras is involved in a rackeetering organisation offering ‘protection’ to stores located in Corinth, Xylokastro, and Kiato.
Similarly, Panagiotis Iliopoulos, the third MP that has been asked to see the investigators, is described by witnesses as a ‘high-ranked member’, with a key role in the organisation.
